– CLEMENTINE FRENCH 57 –

1 OUNCE BOURBON WHISKEY

1 OUNCE FRESH CLEMENTINE JUICE

3/4 OUNCE HONEY SYRUP (RECIPE BELOW)

1/2 OUNCE FRESH LEMON JUICE

3-4 DASHES ORANGE BITTERS

CHAMPAGNE OR PROSECCO

ORANGE TWIST

To make the honey syrup: Combine 1/4 cup raw brown sugar with 1/4 cup water in a small saucepan. Heat about 8 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until all the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; and set aside to cool. Pour syrup into glass jar. Cover jar; refrigerate until ready to use. Makes about 1/2 cup.

To put it all together: Combine bourbon, orange juice, honey syrup, lemon juice and bitters in a cocktail shaker filled with ice; shake well. Pour into a champagne flute glass. Top with champagne. Garnish with an orange twist and enjoy.

Why clementines? A simple tweak on an old time classic. Kendra’s favorite winter fruit is clementines. Clementines always remind Kendra of her childhood and can instantly turn her frown upside down on a chilly winter day. So she thought… why not?!? This bubbly clementine champagne cocktail is perfect for a trunk show brunch with delectable pastries or an evening soiree with cheese and crackers.
