Trying to get that bikini bod in shape for summer? Even though the sunshines already arrived and school’s out, there’s still time to get the sexy Baywatch beach bod.
One of our favorite ways to keep our tummies satisfied between meals is with easy grab-and-go snacks. When you’ve got lots of healthy snacking options on hand, there’s no excuse to go for the chips and cookies.
Instead of whipping up a batch of chocolate chip cookies, try whipping up a batch of these outrageous healthy power balls! Not only are they super filling, they are super delicious! The creamy nut butter adds protein and the oats keep you full between meals.
– What you’ll need –
2 cups oat flour (or old fashioned rolled oats if you can’t find it)
1 cup almond butter (or your favorite nut butter)
1/2 cup raw honey (try maple syrup if you’re vegan)
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut
2 tablespoons flax seeds
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
– Let’s get cooking! –
In a food processor, pulse the oat flour, nut butter, honey, sunflower seeds, coconut and flax seeds until well combined. Mix in the chocolate chips by hand. Cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Line a baking sheet, or really any flat surface, with parchment paper. Form small balls (about 1 1/2 tablespoons each) and place them on the baking sheet. Refrigerate for another 30 minutes before serving. I like to store them in the refrigerator or freezer and take them out just before eating! That way they are also out of sight and out of mind!
